Starting with home videos at young age, to producing videos for Machinima on YouTube throughout my teen years, I have always had a passion for film. During my time at Illinois State University in the Arts Technology Program, I started a grassroots company called “Vision.” I independently produced numerous videos including music/performance videos, short films, and interviews. Additionally, my largest client, The Way Down Wanderers, are now an internationally recognized band with a large following. My video pursuit did not stop there.
At Aisle Rocket Studios, where I was a frontend web developer, I also worked on ‘office highlight’ videos and promotional videos for Amana. While at ARS, I continued to take on video side projects moving my company forward. I am always looking for the next progressive video project and aim to make magic on screen. I have a wide array of skill sets and am a quick learner. With that said, I’d love to learn from the best video teams out there and be able to bring my creative spark to the table.
Working together with a professional hula hooper, we storyboarded and filmed a video that displays a list of tricks that uses each letter of the alphabet. I then edited multiple angles and shots together to create an interesting scene for each trick. Text animation was added to inform the viewer the name of each trick.
Bassnectar's Magical World, Feeling Good, Butterfly, Lights, and Time-stretch were used for this remix that I made in Audition. The nature footage was recorded and then synced visuals were added on top. The visuals were made using MAX/MSP/Jitter and the amplitude of each song.
This is a short film that I produced while living in Manchester Hall at Illinois State University my sophomore year of college. After completing the project, I submitted my film to the University Program Board short film contest. At the red carpet event in the Student Bone, Campus Infection took first place. I used a Sony Handy-Cam to film and After Effects to edit.
